I can still remember the night I met Kelly. I was out with a group of my friends and she was with her friends. We instantly hit it off, and spent the night drinking and talking. Eventually, we went our separate ways, but I couldn't get her out of my mind.
On the ride home with my friend Brian that evening, I kept telling him how this girl was cool, down to earth, beautiful and just easy to get along with. It got to the point that Brian said "okay Joe we get it, she's awesome."

As Joe said, we met out with friends in 2014. He was smitten from the beginning, but I was unsure of a stranger I met at a bar. The following week, I went out for drinks with one of our mutual friends, Blake, where I proceeded to grill him about this "Joe Hulsey" guy. A few weeks later, after much persistence from Joe, I decided to give him a chance. We started dating almost instantly and have been together since.

On May 21, 2016, Joe made plans for a belated anniversary celebration. They went downtown for drinks at the Eagles Nest and afterwards walked to Monument Circle. Once near the monument, Joe got on one knee and asked Kelly to marry him. She of course said yes (with a bunch of oh my gosh's)! After popping champagne with two of their friends, they took a carriage ride to a rooftop downtown where both of their families and friends were waiting to celebrate!

Taylor and Cayden are our niece and nephew. We could not have planned it more perfectly to have two adorable kids in our wedding party. (Actually, I told Joe I thought Shylah would have a boy because we needed a ring bearer. Thanks Shy!)
